to the Veranda, a historical landmark nestled on Main Street, in beautiful Harbor Springs Michigan. The Veranda has earned a reputation as an award -winning Bed & Breakfast and has been featured in numerous magazines. For the last one hundred years the Veranda has welcomed guests as a boarding house, guest cottage and Bed & Breakfast.

We are very excited to announce the Veranda will reopen as a Bed & Breakfast on January 18th 2008. An extraordinary experience awaits you when you choose the Veranda as your northern Michigan destination point. Seven magnificent guestrooms, each with private baths, are furnished with original artwork from prominent local artists and authentic antiques, many of which are museum quality.  The second floor guest rooms all have their own private balconies.  The extensive sun-filled front porch offers beautiful views in addition to peace and relaxation rarely found in today’s hectic lifestyle.  The exquisite English garden is the perfect setting for relaxing or rejuvenating your spirits, or to simply enjoy the scents and views of northern Michigan and all it has to offer.

The Veranda is located within strolling distance to quaint shops, fine dining, picturesque city parks and the bustling marina in historic Harbor Springs. Whether it’s boating, hiking, skiing, golfing, fishing, shopping or just enjoying the natural beauty of northern Michigan, make the Veranda your home away from home.  We are located minutes from historic Mackinac City, two of the finest ski slopes in the Midwest, the world famous Inland Waterway, hundreds of miles of trails for hiking, biking, and cross country skiing, along with miles of pristine shorelines. Our goal at the Veranda is to provide each and every guest with a memorable experience, one that will never be forgotten.  Our rooms will enchant you; our homemade breakfasts will please you. Our fine linens and toiletries will delight you and our hospitality will warm your heart.   We sincerely thank previous owners, Lisa and Martin Sutter, for allowing us the pleasure of continuing the history and ambiance of the Veranda. We are honored to continue the tradition as a destination of guests and travelers for the past one hundred years.

Warmest regards,
Kim and Carl Reid
